Submission Guidelines
We like to see unsolicited queries that are concise, well-written, and professionally edited. Gimmicks don't work. Let your writing speak for itself. We are looking for non-fiction, general fiction, short stories, and juvenile fiction books.
If your work has not been professionally edited, we can edit it for you.

In your query email, describe your project in a summary paragraph and tell us whether you have submitted this project to other agents and publishers. In the body of the email, please include a synopsis of the work (under 1,000 words) and the first chapter. Do not send attachments. We will not open them. If we are interested in your work, we will request more information from you. To get your foot in our door, provide a professional submission. Plain and simple works for us. Don't send photographs.
We do not agree to publishing contracts based on book proposals. Complete your manuscript before you send us a query.
Juvenile fiction manuscripts should be at least 30,000 words in length. We do not publish picture books.
Please be patient. We receive many queries every day, and we do read them all, but it takes time. We will respond to most query emails within six to eight weeks. If you don't hear from us within that time frame, chances are we did not receive your email. Feel free to resend it.
If we request additional chapters or a complete manuscript, again be patient. Do not email us trying to determine where we are in the process. We will definitely get back to you one way or another. If you do not hear from us within two months' time, you can check in and make sure we've received your materials. We are not legally responsible for your materials.
Please adhere to the above guidelines to help us respond to you in a timely manner. We look forward to hearing from you.
